Why is this course important?

With Kanban, we start by developing and visualizing a joint understanding of the current way of working. We look at how things are working and where there are sources of dissatisfaction. Then, improvements are identified and introduced. The Kanban System Design course provides the foundational background of The Kanban Method and then guides the students through the process of understanding their systems so they can design an appropriate Kanban system to meet their needs. By understanding the core concepts of The Kanban Method, you will be able to design a Kanban system to improve visibility, communication, and collaboration within your team.

Schedule

The course will run from 10:00 to 16:00. There will also be regular breaks for tea and coffee and to stretch your legs. There will be lots of interactivity to keep you busy and active.

What do I need to take part in this course?

With this course being an online training session, the most obvious thing you will need is a good Internet connection with an environment where you can both hear and interact with your fellow course attendees and trainer! Don’t worry about the odd child/dog/cat/partner wondering past or interrupting occasionally. We know that life happen and we’ll work around it.

We recommend a laptop or desktop with good sound and microphone. We will be using Zoom for the video conference functionality with a waiting room and password configured to provide a reasonable level of security. If you can, we recommend installing the Zoom app on your device but the web version should work as a plan B.
